On 01 Jan 05 11:55:00, George Lagergren got back to Dan Ceppa -> Re: BW & Win XP DC> Well, except for configuring in my Spell Checker and a few other DC> utilities, I've got BW v 2.30 running on my XP laptop. GL> Dan, if you have BW v. 2.30 on your laptop, then BW v. 2.30 GL> must work with XP Home & XP pro, right?. It should. GL> Do you work with BW within XP's DOS box? GL> Does Win XP have a DOS box? Yep. And brings up Full Screen for that window. You can access it from RUN --> COMAND.COM or by clicking on a BW icon if you can figure out how to set one up. SEARCHING for Bwave.exe and clicking on it works, too. GL> Any special procedures needed to get BW v. 2.30 [for DOS] running GL> with Win XP? So far, all seems to be running normally. The minor problem is setting up paths for that BAT files I use in XP. The XP is a fully new setup from the factory. The problem is I have a lot of utilities I use to both send and get mail for reading in BW. And, all my setting except for getting into the window are done in DOS. But, everything I've tried so far is working normally. And, I intend to push that limit! ...
