There are exceptions, of course.

How many people refer to the billionare "Henry Perot?"

None I know of, he's called "Ross Perot" or "H. Ross Perot."

Likewise, no one not in the playground loser group calls me "Otto Sauer."

My Dad is Otto Sauer, I'm O. Ross Sauer.
