Speaking for myself, it only has to come in handy once to be worth it.  In this
case with fold, it has come in handy more than once, the curl line being the
latest.  Also in the past I used it, as well as fmt, to prewrap text output for
old DOS abandonware apps although in that case it worked fine without i18n
patching simply because there were no multibyte characters in those cases. 
Still I like things to be up to their full potential whether or not it ever
gets used up to that higher grade.

Yes I am greedy.  I want it all.
