Refused! I have a rock on my port and if YOU do not tack, you will be on
it!!!

A lot of funny jokes about that Aussie boat, for sure. But in real life,
it was sad. Sure I saw it go down and could not beleive my eyes. I was
thinking, what would I do if my sloop went down like that....it happens!
I was 3 times on the Atlantic with my 38' and took 30' waves in 47 kts
of wind. It then crossed my mind that this was an eventuallity, I got
spared!

The next Cup not before 5 years, you say? This is the first news that I
have of it. I guess that it is expensive enough and a 3.8 million head
country has to recoup a little before the next round. I wonder when the
US will be ready. They really got caught with their undies down.

This fellow Britten that you mention has a good reputation already here.
He was previously involved in some other Cup racing. Now which one?

Well, we are having our summer here now and in a few days, I will be
sailing my sloop to Lake Champlain. Look at a map of Vermont and you
will see it is quite a large lake. Not the ocean but lots of water to
cover. Where do you sail in NZ? Strictly around it? The ocean here is 5
days away motoring with the mast unsteped. But when you get there, FUN!

Have a great day.
