FTP stands for 'file transfer protocol'.  TO get _TO_ a place that has
the file, you MUST connect thru the Internet, that's where FTP works.
There are ways to get files by E-mail, but not all sites allow it.
If you can't afford to be on the Internet yourself, find a friend who
has an account and will get the files for you, or pool your money with a
few friends and share an account.
