subject: New to this echo

I am new to this echo .... wishing to learn pointers in dealing with the
inflamatory arthritis and the genetic disease hemochromatosis that
brought on this disease.
I am finding it difficult going through 500 messages looking for
material that might help because the subject posted is often not the
subject that is covered in the body of the post.
In some posts it seems like I am entering a room where an argument has
been going on for five hours before I arrived and it is hard to catch on
to the real issues.
I certaily appreciate hearing various points of view on a treatment ...
which could help a reader toward drawing an informed decision. So I am
not suggesting that everything should be without disention .... it is
just that as I am searching the 500 posts I have downloaded I am getting
more and more confused.
I hope you do not mind me sharing my first reactions.
I have had two malignent melenoma's and ended up spending a huge portion
of my income on alternative medicine to make it less likely for me to
get Cancer again.
Before I got diagnosed with hemochromatosis a year ago I had so many
varying diagnosis .... and followed the advice of each guru for more
than a fair time alotment to see if they could help.
On a personal note I recoil from argument too quickly and over-react to
disention having had a background of being a victim and only coming to
myself late in life --- So for now that is just the way I am.
I think Jane (Kelly ?)'s ideas are terrific 99% of the time but really
get thrown when things get confrontational.
