OK. But, where would you make the national capitol? You said "Washington should

Many congresscritters only keep a small apartment in their district to
establish residency. Others only keep a minimal apartment in the Dee Cee area
and spend most of their time away from the halls of gummint in their districts.
Sort of like Joe Biden - riding the train home to Delaware every night to be
with his family and constituents.

You count without the cunning of people with an axe to grind. Just because you
and I and many other people think professional lobbyists are a cumstain on the
sheets of progress that does NOT mean that they are not sly, nor that they are
stupid. ... just whores. And the Keystones and Grundys have been trying to keep
whores from plying their trade since Eve talked Adam into having an apple. With
little success you may note.

OTOH, Farmer Brown, or Shopkeeper Jamal who need something from the gummint (or
think they do) and run into their congresscritter in the home district - are
also lobbyists.

And, you have reckoned without the inclination of congresscritters to feather
their own nests. We need to do something about that ... which will, of course,
create its own bureaucracy.
