Shortly after I sent the above, I roused and fed the troops before 
finding myself chauffeuring the masses to the #1 Shoe Warehouse 
where my craven submission to your riddle suddenly turned into a 
living enigma...

Let me get you abreast of my puzzlement - I was confronted by a 
shop assistant with a substantial upper frontage sporting a 
stretched t-shirt professing the legend "Buy any 2 pairs and the 
3rd is free".

Immediately, I found myself on the horns of a major dilemma ... I 
mean to say,  the display pair were themselves generous over- 
adequate for every imaginable purpose;  the printed invitation 
implied that "only one bra" would never ever suffice and ....

I remembered the doctor's demand that I cut the `private' life in 
half (I'd promised to either stop looking, or to stop thinking 
about what I looked at), did a parade-ground about-turn and 
retreated to the car for a little lie down....

What IS the answer to your riddle, pray ?
