With that said, about 9 or so years ago, I owned an Asante Router, it had a
connection for a phone cord and in a pinch if configured to do so as well
as have the line connected, it could go out and dial a POTS connection if
your broadband connection went down. I used this feature a couple of times,
it was nice to have, in order for me to keep the fido mail flowing.
