  Yep. Just like they did with ending support for XP in both the OS, and
the XP mode of Windows 7.

  I saw a story where Microsoft was offering XP users $100 -- the catch
is that you have to apply it to a NEW computer with Windows 8, ranging
from $600 to $3000 or more.

  If worse came to worse, I guess I'd have to consider Linux...but I
hope that won't be necessary for a long time.
