Ok, /var/max now exists and is accesable by the account I'm compiling on. The basic makes are still failing.... In searching back, it looks like I need to find where curses is installed, or maybe I need to install a package that I haven't installed yet..... Message is "vioc:568: cureses.h: No such file or directory". So, that looks like what's holding up the compilation at this point. And, yes, /var/max needed to be made to allow directories to be created (when using the default suggested locations). Let's see if I can quickly find the ncurses library under Debian Woody.... Take care..... Bob Jones, 1:343/41 WG> # make build WG> # make install BJ> Well, I finally had some time and so tried the BJ> above.... Worked up to make build....
