We can hope that some day she will come around.  Does your daughter have
contact with the other grandparents, or are they likewise shut out? 
Maybe she (mistakenly) thinks that she'll do better without any input
from those who are of an older generation...??  (As I recall, she's
still pretty young?  still a teen, maybe?)
