I will second your opinion...... Mr. Palmer does indeed swing a heavy
hand.... especially when there is no need for that hand.
Debating the merits of the Zyxel vs anything else does seem like a pretty
valid topic to me.
I wish he would lighten up..... I am also one of those people who have
become disappointed in Zyxel.
I have many times considered a US Robotic V.Everything especially at they are
charging for the sysop price. Especially since they have the VFC protocol and
Zyxel does not intend to support......
There are a ton of USR Sportsters that have not been upgraded to V34 and have
the VFC protocol instead.
I spoke with a woman from Zyxel (Joy maybe), she returned my email, about the
sysop pricing subject and all she said that it would be about 30% less than
retail.
Considering I paid $750.00 Canadian (full retail) the sysop price that they
are offering is not a good deal. A USR courier would be a way better
financial deal. $249.00 US
The problem is that one does tend to get attached to a particular brand of
modem, and I find it a little difficult change. Oh my *** all those configs
settings that will need to be changed.
