Thanks Russ. Your answer, Dave's and Bill's are all similar, so it must
have been a case of exactly what you describe above.

I did shift my port speed up to 115200 several weeks ago. File transfers
were fine, but one of my BBS doors was not happy with the port speed. I
found that shifting the port speed back to 57600 fixed that little problem.

I had no idea that such a change would affect my modem.
