Hi Greg. -=> Quoting Greg Mcknight to All on 09 Nov 96 03:44:58<=- -=> Subject "modem trouble?" <=- GM> Hi Gang, GM> Modems bring pain....there so bloody inconsistent (mine GM> anyway)....does anyone have a reason for certain boards locking GM> suddenly and takes ages to hang up? I have a Maestro 288 v34 GM> Executive...I use telix...Much help would soothe the pain....cya Don't worry, Greg, I have the same problem. I *think* it may be to line conditions, as the Maestro may be in a retrain and is nice, as it waits and tells the other modem it's going, rather than just dropping the line. Also, TFW takes its time anyway. Regards, Peter. --- http://www.pcug.org.au/~port (Web Page) port{at}pcug.org.au (Internet E-mail) Peter Ortner, 3:620/243 (FidoNet) ... No wanna work.
