Hi Ray, -=> Quoting Ray Ellaway to All on 13 Dec 96 01:23:56<=- -=> Subject "Pausing Problems" <=- RE> I am using a Tassie Devil 33.6 modem and have noticed that RE> connections to BBS's using VFC always seem to have numerous pauses. No RE> problems with V34 connects. Has anyone else come across this and can RE> it be cured? I experience this often with my Maestro E336. I think it is due to the line conditions, as it would seem that the VFC retrain does *everything*, rather than just assess line conditions. Try dropping the DCE connect speed in the modem, and see if the problem goes away. If it does, then line conditions are your problem.
