This dovetails with waht I'm finding as well.

We can thank Rush and the other talk radio heads for this
lack of actual discourse on politics by folks.  IT's what I
call the "chickenshit technique' of debating or discussion.
FOlks who are for the most part too illiterate to actually
educate themselves, so they parrot what they heard.
