-=> Quoting Jean Parrot to Bruce Clark <=- BC> You double checked that the copy wasn't Read-Only and BW was set for BC> that directory? JP> That I did and it is by default set to Read only. If I untick JP> it, it comes back to Read only. No matter if I move the file to JP> another folder/directory, it always defaults to Read only. Gotcha ! JP> That tick is greyed out, not the full dark black tick. It goes if I JP> untick it but reappears on its own if I have another look at it. You need to find what is setting the Read-Only attribute. After removing the Read-Only attribute, there is probably also a way to save that change, that you aren't doing. Windows has always seemed to make things hard to do, compared to the same DOS program. I like Procomm for DOS, hate Procomm for Windows. Same with the graphical drafting program for DOS. Same with an earlier version of Wordstar for DOS. I can open the same .QWK packet with two seperate BW setups at once, and, using Buerg's LIST program, see that only the Archive attribute has been set. ___ Blue Wave/386 v2.30 --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5a* Origin: BBS Networks {at} www.bbsnets.com 808-839-6036 (1:10/345) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 10/345 106/1 2000 633/267 |
