It that ias a junction between the Flexible hose and a Metal pipe it
cannot be reapired. The whole piece needs to be replaced.

Yes some do use "C" clips.

The inner joint can get really noisy before they really need replacing.
But don't delay too long.
I let the wife drive a car with a noisy outer joint until it broke.
Fortunatly is was while making a U Turn in the front of the house.
