Hi all,

Just my two cents:

I recently got a R4C (by the way, it's having almost all Sherwood mods.
Super CW-receiver!)and the knobs looked real dried-out. That unit had been
in store a long time as well...
In the restauration process, I decided to leave the knobs for a day or
what in pure "olive-oil". Guess what, they came out looking almost new! It
seemed as if the knobs, to my idea made of a kind of bakelite, absorbed
the oil and they felt smoothe and more "flexible".
Maybe this is of help...

Best 73 and let me make use of this oppertunity to wish you all a merry
Christmas and a wonderfull 2005!

Dick/PA2DW
