OK, maybe *you* are willing to let my people live unmolested on their
rezes. But many businesses and industries want my people's land. Many
rezes have vauable mineral deposits, or timber, or other things that
some people want. Treaties give some nations fishing or hunting rights
not given to others. If the law fails to uphold those rights, people
who want the minerals or the lands or the rights, will simply move in
and take them. If you are going to take away the power of the central
government, how are you going to protect the Indian nations from
unscrupilous individuals and corporations?
