From having the experience. If one is possessed by a highly evolved
being then one knows about it. They will feel much more energised than
normal and be thinking much more positively. The person possessed will
also usually be able to pass on worthwhile and/or uplifting
information that they normally wouldn't know about.

As above. By having the experience. A possessed person generally takes
on the energies, attitudes, mannerisms, speech patterns, way of
thinking etc. of the person who is possessing them.     :-)
If possession is complete ( as distinct from obsession ) then the
owner of the physical body may watch it from an external vantage 
point yet be unable to modify it's behaviour.
