I doubt very much that the Radio Shack super tweeter would be much
help to the 201s or for that matter any other speaker.
Tweeters can be very difficult to work with in an "external"
application like you are talking about. And I have yet to see anything added
to any of the Bose line that helped.....except the old Model 501 (Short-boxy-
more conventional design.
The 201s and the 301s have the "arrayed" tweeter in a "free air"
mounting that directly splatters the highs off the nearest wall. Have you
tried turning the tweets toward your listening position...rather than the
wall? Perhaps that would help some. Maybe what is on or near the walls
between you and the speakers is cutting off the highs.
I have just never understood how splattering the sound off the walls
before it gets to the listener can give you accurate sound reproduction.
