To reproduce that problem you can try to save one of the .pkt files which
do that seg-fault to hpt.

Best way is to copy all files of the mailer inbound to a save place before
starting hpt toss. Unpack the files by hand and give hpt that .pkt file by
file. The one which make hpt crash you can save for the developer request.

In your fidoconfig file, find the keyword "Loglevels" and set it
to that given value to log all hpt information into the logfile.
