Well, I finally had some time and so tried the above....  Worked up to make
build....  That aborts with [squish] error 2 as the last error message. 
I'll have to dig into the code mode to see what's up.....

Need to read those and edit some stuff accordingly....

I've simply unpacked in a subdirectory off my home directory and tried the
above.....  So, /ar/max and some other items are not setup....  And I'm not
running from root.....
