I'm interested inn all forms of alternative energy...and would love to get

from under the grip of the electric company. Unfortunately, living in the 
city,
we're stuck with their sewers and water :-/
My main interest is the non-polluting and available to all solar energy. I
don't know how well it would work in this climate though...the ducks like the
weather though ;) Perhaps solar power in concert with some kind of generator
would work... does anyone know of a decent solar powered generator?
Well, I have much to learn and I'm here to learn it.
