-> I've never had that, although I had one nurse complain that the IV I
-> stared was "too big" and in the patient's ACF, not in the hand as
-> they did in the hospital. How big was "too big", 18ga!
Augh! My BIGGEST pet peeve with hospitals! When an RN or tech says
that we shouldn't have started in the AC, I always ask them "WHY?" I
NEVER got an answer until about 6 months ago, when a RN said "because,
the lab can draw multiple times from the same AC". Sorry, this is NOT a
good answer. BUZZZ. Try again!
-> high level cervical fracture. Not being able to help myself, I asked
-> if the fact that she was in arrest could account for that. He must
-> have realized what he had said because he looked at me for about 5
-> seconds before walking off and mumbling over his shoulder that we
-> still should have immobilized her.
Oh, geez. That's a good one. Tell me, when did this rectal tone thing
become popular? I mean, I guess it's a good diagnostic sign (unless in
the above case situation..hehe), but I had never known about it until
about a year ago...
Or, maybe I just wasn't aware of it...
