Point made. :-)  I was able to read some data from the serial data
address -- but some of it was incorrect or missing (not sure which is
the case just yet)   However, the GS Technical Note #18 demonstrates a
read by just doing an LDA of the data address.  The SCC docs are..
well.. convoluted and lack clarity on the issue.
