By using a better and more robust encoding technique.  14400 was "the
end of the line, all the bandwidth's used up" only a short while ago. 
OTOH, the Nyquist bandwidth is _not_ infinite, and there will eventually be
limits - which we may even have already reached.   Russel Brooks' efforts
at 33.6k from vast distances may indicate otherwise, IMHO.
