Max 3.x still supports it, but I've only run with a locked baud rate for
years or an autobaud only for non-compressed connections running 2400 bps
or lower....  I'd have to look up what I've currently got setup in
Binkley....

BPS rate also comes in to the calculation on downloading files.  If you
don't have enough time to download a file based on size and BPS rate, max
won't let you start the download.....
