I know what it means and those of us who asked for a shutdown-semaphore
want slightly different behavior than terminating with Pid.

On typical Fido mailers, you create an exit semaphore so the mailer sees that
and exits with an errorlevel set once the current mail session has ended. On 
BinkD (on Windows) telling it to close terminates active connections.

This has been requested here a few times.
