MH>When my Monte Carlo had the antifreeze leak on the lower manifold, I had to MH>decide to fix it, replace the motor, or just unload it. I never really want MH>to unload it, but after going over the numbers, it was better to get the new MH>engine. My policy was IF you have a particualr attraction to a car it is always best to fix it even if the fix pushes it over it's sale value. In most of the cars I was buying it was a matter of finding the cheepest trasnportation as possible. One car we really made out on after having it fro almost two uears someone hit is in hte rear o nthe Drivers sidt tweeking the body so the doord o nthat side could not be opened. Teh insurance company totaled it and gave me to option to keep it. They give me a check for almost what I paid for it and after replacing the drivers side tail light the wife drove it as her commute car for over another year. MH>Not to mention, I typically do enjoy working on cars. The only exception is MH>when I am in a rush and have no spare vehicle (like now). The Harley is nic MH>but can't ride that in all conditions.. :) I did too for over 50 years. It was only a little over 1 year ago that I finally had to stop doing my own oil changes, I had to stop doing any serious mechanical work arround 8 years ago. Before that I did all Driveline/Electrical work except Automatic Transmissions. I will be 80 in December. --- þ SLMR 2.1a þ Typo Tom Strkes Again* Origin: Since 1991 And Were Still Here!
