Understood.  Definetly not the problem here and very close as the crow flies to
Vancouver, especially the beaches, but given the obstacle the Strait poses it
may as well be 100's of kms away.

Agreed.  In my case it would be to develop a gcc and friends enviroment for
that platform.  I am liking the newer 1.2GHz quad cores that are showing up. 
However I am not in any rush and at the moment am playing with wireless between
the small Atom based system with it's new 7" monitor and my server so that they
cooperate with development as well as have the server share some of it's
resources with the little guy. They are both x86_64 so that makes it MUCH
easier for them to develop and build software that they can both use.

The ARM based Rasberrypi would be vastly more independent although I can see
where sharing drive space on the server would come in EXTREMELY handy from the
Rasberrypi's pont of view.  Again, I am in no rush but this is the line of
thought going on here as we speak.
