Hello Noticias:

Partition issuing synthetic time, right?

Answer: Directory services is a
distributed accounts database that
is distributed among multiple servers
for safety. Unlike Bindery of Netware
3.12 server, that is only local
to that specific server.

Now then, in order to distribute
the "accounts database" back and
forth between servers, they must
know about "time" in order to
"know" which server has most
accurate and latest copy of
NDS accounts database. Thus,
time synchronization takes
place prior to exchaning information
about the accounts database.

Your server is looking for
a "master boss of time"
called a "Single reference"
time server. This server
on the other hand, is
a "slave boss" of time.
It needs the "time boss"
before it can know it's
information is accurate.
Because it doesn't find
what it needs, it complains.

Re-establish your network
connection to the other servers
in your tree, and you'll be fine.
On the other hand, if this server
is the only server in your own
tree, establish him as the
"master time boss" via making
him the "SINGLE" time reference
in SYS:SYSTEM\AUTOEXEC.NCF

	Good luck
