 Here's cute...

In our old computer (the P2) we've always had a CD-RW drive... the first
one was a Ricoh 4x, which we later replaced with an HP 32x. The new Toshiba
has a DVD-R / CD-RW drive in it. I've discovered that CDs made with the old
Ricoh drive won't even read (or be recognized) on the Toshiba, though you
can still read 'em and write 'em on the HP... CDs made with the HP drive
will read on the Toshiba, and you can copy from the CDs to the Toshiba -
but you can't write to the CD.

 Playing with the Toshiba, I formatted a CD - really fun, as the program
doesn't even seem to have a 'format' command - and discovered that it will
read in the HP drive... but you can't write to it from the HP drive.

 Ah, well... at least I can transfer info back and forth if needed.
