Gene Lowery found my problem. All I had to do was set S69.0=1 and redetect 
the modem and it worked. I have tried removing those two files. I knew about 
doing that but thanks for the suggestions anyway. I am sure I have the latest 
mdmusrcr.inf file because I downloaded the latest one from 
totalservice.usr.com just yesterday.
