Does anyone else have trouble connecting to a Practical Periphals modem?  I 
have a friend who uses a PP 28.8, and we can't get a good connection to save 
our lives.  The modems always run through the connect string at least twice.  
If they do a get a connect it's usually somewhere between 4800 and 19,200.  
Then after a while either the connection drops, or I get a retrain to 300 
baud, and he gets a NO CARRIER.  If he sets his modem to 14.4, he can connect 
fine with me.  I have a SUPRAFAX 288 external, and these problems have been 
consistent from ROM version 1.2 to 1.4-17.  I dont' have trouble with anyone 
else, and he only has this problem when connecting to SUPRAs.  Any help would 
be greatly appreciated.
