 To give you a better idea of the different aspects of computers and their uss
we will look at a possible application by describing a functional CASE STUDY. A
case study is a detailed look at one particular situation. Let us imagine the
case of a high street shop selling pop records.

 Let us suppose that the ownwer of the shop, John Jackson, is thinking about
buying a computer to help out with his record keeping, stock control and letter
writing.

 Q(uestion). What is the difference between the various types of record in
computing, a paper record, and the kind of record that would be sold in the
shop?
