Not sure what they do on the TV, as I rarely watch even Public TV.  But
on the radio, they still mention the federal and state/local grants, but
always in the context of "Not nearly as much as we used to get" and
"dependent on what we can raise in listener support".  :)  Up in the
North Country, I don't think I've actually been around for a true pledge
drive...  They do offer the "summer visitors" the chance to join up, but
that is usually low-key (relatively) and not a true pledge-drive.
