I think the Debian-type ones, such as Ubuntu, tend to be more automagic or
so-called user-friendly than the others. I haven't looked at Fedora for awhile
now but the last time I did I preferred it over Debian and/or any of it's
clones.

No graphics in the installs. Extremely hands on that is for sure.
I do have a small 7" monitor I plan to hook up to a small Atom based Zoltac and
use it as a low power digital 'player' of some sort just for fun but that is
the closest I ever get to a gui type enviroment, even though it actually isn't
despite the graphical capabilities.
