depending on my mood and location, i may be in qedit, tinyed, e, edit, or
any of several other editors when i do offline mail... none of them have
the same command line switches and some of them don't have any at all other
than the filename to load...

  one way to find out where the "problem" is is to look and see
  if the items are in the proper place while /reading/ the message...

the above row of ^'s is under the word "proper"... where are they
when you go to reply??

i think it is BW that strips them down and that may be due to a
"remove leading spaces" setting or some such...
