Sounds reasonable.  So what is currently outstanding?  Near as I can tell only
word wrapping and I'll qoute the squirrel thing below in nano to see if is
properly word wrapped to 72 utf8 characters rather than 8 bit ones;

 MK> "I've got squirrels in my pants", "Jag har ekorrar i mina byxor",

παντελόνι μου" and "Ich 
 MK> habe Eichhörnchen in meiner Hose".

It looks good from this angle and properly counts multibyte characters as one
character instead of two.
