These things are finding me, too. I have also been entrusted to a
Trustor (Pre-Sider ere Xebec product) 30 meg that needs data recovered
on it. I'm somewhat convinced here that either the drive has soft
errors or there's bad logic external of the drive. It returns an I/O
Error really fast- so it's not physically having issues within the
chamber.
