How about wider field of view with practical eyepieces.
Every telescope involves some compromises. Some tasks are best with lower
power (shorter focal length) others are best with higher power (longer
focal lengths). The longtime standard f/6 - f/8 Newtownian atm scope is a
pretty decent balance for most visual work. Of course in bigger sizes,
this quickly gets too be too long, especially for portable use.
