Do you mean CHRS? I used to put one in but it turns out to be a waste of bytes
especially for utf8 since they are readily identified without it.

I don't. I noticed way back when that both the above are incapable of properly
handling CHRS. The only one I noticed who could (besides myself) isn't using
either android or windows and I also noticed it had issues with certain CHRS
settings such as LATIN-1.
