A very charming chair with red velvet upholstery on the seat, this chair has all the earmarks of an "Oscar Bach" produced chair from New York. This is hand pounded brass, very heavy in weight, with figural faces of lion on either side of the chairs top back. The chair was found in an estate and not much information was provided at the time, however several persons since have thought that the chair may be attributed to "The Oscar Bach Company". The chair stands 37" high and has a seat dimension of 16" x 16". The upholstery is in fabulous condition. The chair displays much detail in design with the scrolled apron completely surrounding the seat, the accented oval back, the details legs, and the charming stretcher base coming together in the center in an X configuration. Actually DETAIL abounds just about everywhere on this chair.
