Subject: buddy-l
Fellow Federationists and listers,
Kathy I find your suggestion that someone wanting to subscribe to buddy-l
tell them that they are a Seeing Eye graduate interesting and a might
contradictory to what I have heard from some sources. It is
myunderstanding that buddy-l is operated indipendantly of The Seeing Eye
so why should they need to know that someone wanting to subscribe is a
Seeing Eye graduate. The truth is that there are guide dog users on that
list who have obtained dogs from many different schools here in the States
and from abroad so why should it matter? I am trying to sort out the
truth from falsehood, or is or is buddy-l not a list operated by the
SEeing Eye or is it run indipendantly of that school?
Earlier this year I corresponded with several individuals who would like
to see a mailing list for guide dog users established that is truly
indipendant of any schools and one that all guide dog users would feel
welcomed and could express their views freely and without fear of being
unfarely removed from the list. just curious.
