Oh YES, YES, YES. I have an old copy of LotusWorks that I bought
very cheap about 5 yrs ago, that does all this. For that reason,
I have to keep falling back to it. The change of case (Upper,
Lower, Initial) is so very handy to me as I don't touch type
(yet!) and I hate having to go back and re-do about ten lines or
so because I forgot I had the CapLock on.
And the macros! On LW, I have one that writes my address in
one form for local mail, another form for o'seas mail, and I
write little macros as necessary to tidy up some of those messy
.DOC files that come with shareware, where they are a bit too
complicated for a global edit.
I certainly miss these features in GeoWorks. Why, oh WHY did
they forget to put them in? Even Micro$oft provides them in
Works and Word.
At present, to get these features I have to export from GeoWrite
as a text file, quit Geos, open L'works, import the document,
run the macros for the changes I want, then reverse the
procedure to get back into GeoWrite. EXTREMELY messy!

... Nostalgia sure ain't what it used to be.
