I believe that the FAA is restricted, by law, from using the CVR for
such activities Mr. Hargrove. I know it can't be used for enforcement
activities by the FAA, but I can't put my finger on the regulation at
this moment.
I think the intent of it's use here in the states was to be used as
another tool by the NTSB for accident investigation and by so doing the
FAA can't use it in enforcements. *:-<) I personally think that is the
way it should be.......this is only my personal opinion!!!
