What a great idea! I don't know if someone would ever want to
part out a vintage radio, but one can imagine how one "dead"
radio could have parts that could save a lot of other "sick"
radios.

"Martin Sole" made an utterence to the drakelist gang----------------------------------------------------------------------Hi folks,I have heard the term 'junker unit' on a couple of occasions. DO thesethings exist or is it just a little wishful thinking? Over on the FoxTangogroup W4CLM runs what she calls a graveyard, a repository for dead orterminal Yaesu radios, and acts as a clearing house for parts needed. Theseare not sold but donations are used to purchase more parts units and hard tolocate components. Wonder if anybody does that for Drakes?73Martin - HS0ZED-----Original Message-----From: owner-drakelist{at}www.zerobeat.net[mailto:owner-drakelist{at}www.zerobeat.net] On Behalf Of Garey BarrellSent: 14 February 2005 04:53To: Dick Harms PA2DW; drakelistSubject: Re: [drakeli! st] R-4C gears nylon or metal?Garey Barrell made an utterence to the drakelist gang----------------------------------------------------------------------Dick -Probably not, short of a junker unit.
